IN LOVE WITH THE GAME
raw manifesto on how to fall in love with your life.
palermo. 1:29am.
merahı’s cigarillo burning slowly. ice-cold whisky resting in my hand.
future blasting in one ear. the soundtrack of the city nightlife in the other.
i’ve been travelling around the island these past few days. exploring. wandering without a destination. living the life to the fullest.
now, sitting up on the balcony on this extremely hot night and staring into the endless lights stretching across the city, i came to the conclusion that i’ve reached the point where i genuinely love the game.
writing early in the morning while drinking espresso and smoking cigarettes.
sunbathing on the sundrenched beaches and swimming in crystal-clear water.
reading philosophy and admiring works of art that expand my soul on a daily basis.
starting random conversations with strangers and walking away with stories instead of business cards.
dressing like an old-money italian and flexing on the locals. (they have no drip.)
i have this deeply embedded aristocracy hidden in the depths of my soul.
i can feel the need for adventure flowing through my veins the moment i wake up.
wageslaving? 9–5 job?
nah.
it’s better to stack piles of money through bringing your vision into this world.
imagining. creating. having a mysterious source of income and wandering through life like a modern-day don quixote.
never too comfortable. always on top of the wave.
there was a time in my life when i felt like everything was against me.
i was trying TOO HARD. chasing instead of attracting.
looking for answers everywhere except the only place they could ever exist.
my own mind.
when you get your mind right, you no longer force.
you flow through life.
it becomes a play.
you start trusting yourself and following your instincts.
you stop obsessing over outcomes and simply focus on playing your game.
take on side quests that unexpectedly become the main story.
miss a train. meet someone new.
walk down the wrong street. discover your favourite café.
get to know yourself and live in a way that brings you alive instead of simply keeping you busy.
and that’s the whole secret.
when you truly love what you do, consistency isn’t something you force yourself to keep up with.
fulfilling your duties becomes as natural as the air you breathe and the blink of your eye.
the moment your work becomes an extension of who you are, you will never work a single day of your life from then on.
but as i said...
it all begins in the mind.
i’ve rebuilt mine from the ground up.
if you want to rebuild yours, come and let me show you how.
